WisDOT to begin improvements on Hwy. 66

Metro Wire Staff

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will begin a $2.9-million improvement project on Hwy. 66 next week.

American Asphalt won the contract for the project, which will consist of resurfacing the asphalt pavement, culvert replacement, cattle pass installation, and reconstructing the sidewalk curb ramps between State Hwys. J and 49.

Work is scheduled to begin Sept. 5, and is scheduled for completion by November, depending on weather.

Motorists should remember that using handheld cell phones in Wisconsin work zones is illegal.
