City seeks volunteers for September bike/ped count

The Stevens Point Bicycle and Pedestrian Street Safety Commission seeks volunteers to help with the group’s 2023 bicycle and pedestrian count.

Volunteers will be stationed at various locations across the city for the annual count, which this year will take place on Sept. 14.

The effort provides the city will an opportunity to apply for grants to help pay for bicycle and pedestrian programs and infrastructure.

The Sept. 14 count will take place from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

The deadline to sign up is Sept. 5. Anyone interested can sign up here.
