April 23

Crash: Police were called to a two-vehicle collision at SPASH, 1201 North Point Dr., at 8:09 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Ditched: Deputies were asked to check on a vehicle “partially in the ditch” on the 2000 block of County Hwy. Y at 9:49 p.m. No further information was included in the blotter.

Welfare check: Deputies were asked to check on a suicidal person on the 2400 block of Post Rd. at 10:04 a.m. No further information was included in the blotter.

Stumbler: A caller asked deputies to conduct a welfare check on a man who was stumbling on the causeway over McDill Pond at 10:10 a.m. No further information was included in the blotter.

School issues: Police were called to P.J. Jacobs Jr. High, 2400 Main St., at 11:28 a.m. for “school issues.” No further information was included in the blotter.

Mistaken identity: Police were called to the 3300 block of Glacier Dr. at 11:44 a.m. when a female resident began screaming at a TDS worker doing a repair job in the area. The woman said she thought he was another man she was afraid of.

Jerk: Officers were called to St. Paul Lutheran Church and School at 11:56 a.m. when a caller reported that an unknown man, after driving around the church a few times, exited the vehicle, “flipped off some of the kids outside,” and then drove off. Mail thief: A 41-year-old woman called police to the 4200 block of Nebel St. at 11:48 a.m. to report she suspected a family member was stealing her mail.

Fraud: A 65-year-old woman contacted police at 12:16 p.m. to report that upon calling Geek Squad for assistance with computer issues, she somehow got connected to someone who got access to her banking information.

Theft: A 65-year-old man called deputies to report that stereo equipment had been stolen from a public pavilion at Fountain Lake RV Park in Almond at 12:42 p.m.

Fired: A caller from Pixelle, 707 Arlington Pl., called the police at 12:43 p.m. to request extra patrol after an over-the-phone firing didn’t go very well, resulting in the terminated employee making indirect threats.

Trashed the can: Police were called to Aspirus, 900 Illinois Ave., at 2:19 p.m. when an employee reported that a 55-year-old man “trashed one of the bathrooms and got very aggressive when confronted about it.” The man had left the hospital by the time an officer arrived.

Fraud: A woman walked into SPPD at 3:02 p.m. to say she believed she’d been suckered by paying $50 for an apartment app on her phone.

Brat: Deputies were called to County Hwy. B and Hwy. 10 in Amherst at 4:36 p.m. when a 39-year-old woman reported that she was being attacked by her son, age 14. No further information was included in the blotter.

Threats: Deputies were called to Country Beautiful Ln. at 5:47 p.m. when a caller reported being threatened.

Suspicious: A 26-year-old woman called police to the 2600 block of Bush Ct. at 5:52 p.m. to report smelling marijuana smoke in the apartment building.

Marital problems: A 35-year-old man called police to the 800 block of Fifth Ave. at 6:18 p.m. to report that his wife had stolen his gun. No further information was included in the blotter.

Syphonator: A 19-year-old man called police to the 100 block of Division St. at 6:43 p.m. to report someone had stolen gasoline from the tank of his vehicle while it was parked overnight.

Trespasser: Deputies were called to the 1900 block of North Second Dr. at 8:29 p.m. when a 53-year-old man reported a known man, age 60, was attempting to gain entry to the residence.

Arrest: A 32-year-old man was arrested on a warrant from the 5400 block of County Hwy. W at 9:42 p.m.

Speeding: A 22-year-old woman was warned for speeding on the 1400 block of River View Ave. at 10:44 p.m.

April 24

After dark: A caller reported to police at 1:27 a.m. that people were inside the lodge at Bukolt Park. No further information was included in the blotter.

Crash: A squad car was damaged at The Store, 201 West Clark St., at 2:33 a.m. No further information was included in the blotter.

Oh, deer: A 20-year-old woman called deputies to County Hwy. W and Central Sands Rd. in Bancroft at 5:32 a.m. after hitting a deer with her car. The vehicle was drivable but no further information was included in the blotter.

Erratic: A caller reported to police at 3:54 a.m. that a motorist was driving erratically on the 5100 block of Main St. No further information was included in the blotter.

Crash: A caller reported a possible crash at Dubay Ave. and Second St. North at 7:13 a.m. after finding tire tracks and a bad smell in a ditch. No vehicle was found.

Bonfire: Police and firefighters were called to a home on the 600 block of Franklin St. at 7:53 p.m. when a neighbor called in a burning complaint. The fire was extinguished.

Kids: A 38-year-old woman called police to Pfiffner Pioneer Park at 8:51 to report finding a 10-year-old child asking for help. The child was reportedly babysitting a one-year-old child who was not appropriate dressed for the weather. No further information was included in the blotter.

Porch pirate: Police were called to the 1400 block of Torun Rd. at 11:32 p.m. when a 63-year-old woman reported someone had stolen a package from her porch.

Drunk: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 6:14 a.m., when an employee reported that they’d worked up an intoxicated man in the bathroom, who was carrying with him a bottle of vodka he did not purchase from the store. No further information was included in the blotter.

Crash: Police were called to Texas Ave. and Jefferson St. at 7:57 a.m. for a two-vehicle collision. One woman was injured with glass in her eye.

Suspicious: Police were asked to check on a suspicious “older male” who was hanging around the outside of Jefferson Elementary, 1800 East Ave., at 8:06 a.m. No further information was included in the blotter.
