The Metro Wire‘s policy is to accept press releases for upcoming events that would benefit the community. The Metro Wire reserves the right to determine the proper use of press releases on the Point/Plover Metro Wire

To guarantee publication of your press release and/or event, advertising options are available to businesses and individuals, with a discounted rate offered to nonprofit organizations. 

The Metro Wire accepts news stories, Letters to the Editor, original photographs, and news tips via email, telephone or social media contact. The Metro Wire reserves the right to edit, publish, or decline publication of any materials submitted, with an exception for Letters to the Editor, which will be published “as is” after fact checking has occurred.

If false information is submitted, attempts to contact the author for clarification will be made by Metro Wire staff. The Metro Wire reserves the right to publish Letters to the Editor under its discretion.

The Metro Wire will only publish Letters submitted by residents of Portage County, Wis. Letters must contain an opinion.

Submissions should be in Word Document form with photos included. Please include your full legal name and daytime contact information.

All press releases should be submitted at least one week in advance of the event.
