Music concerts to enliven UWSP campuses in May

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is set to resonate with a series of music concerts across all three campuses in Stevens Point, Marshfield, and Wausau this May.

The concerts, showcasing a diverse range of musical talents, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at the Noel Fine Arts Center Michelsen Hall, located at 1800 Portage St., Stevens Point. Tickets are priced at $17 for the general public, $15 for seniors (62+), $10 for youth (under 18) and UWSP employees. UW-Stevens Point students can attend free of charge. Unless otherwise noted, all events require tickets, which can be purchased online, at the Information and Tickets desk in the Dreyfus University Center, or by calling 715-346-4100.

Concerts at UWSP in Marshfield will also commence at 7:30 p.m., taking place at the Helen Connor Laird Theatre, 2000 W. Fifth Street, Marshfield. Tickets are priced at $10 per person, unless otherwise stated. The Marshfield Box Office is currently not staffed, but tickets for all performances can be purchased online.

In Wausau, UWSP concerts will begin at 7 p.m. at the James F. Veninga Theater, 625 Stewart Ave. Tickets are available for $10 per person and can be purchased online.

• Sunday, May 5: Piano Area Recital, FREE
• Sunday, May 5: Jazz Combos Concert, FREE
• Monday, May 6: Vocal Jazz Concert 
• Tuesday, May 7: Jazz Ensemble Concert 
• Thursday, May 9: Combined Choirs Concert 
• Thursday, May 9: Central Wisconsin Musicians Band Concert at UWSP at Wausau
• Friday, May 10: Hub City Winds Concert at UWSP Marshfield 
• Friday, May 10: Combined Choirs Concert, featuring Concert Choir, Choral Union and Campus Choir at St. Stephen’s Church, 1401 Clark St, Stevens Point – FREE, donations welcome.
• Saturday, May 11: Guest Artist Recital: PoCo duo, FREE
