The Mid-State Technical College Foundation has named Micki Dirks-Luebbe as its new Foundation and Alumni director.

The decision was made by unanimous vote by the Foundation Board on Thursday, July 26.

Dirks-Luebbe has worked for over 16 years in the technical college system in grant development and educational foundation work. She has been with Mid-State since 2018 and currently serves as the director of development overseeing college grant administration, a role she will continue in addition to her new post as Foundation director.

“I am honored to be selected to continue the Foundation’s 44-year history of supporting students in their educational goals,” said Dirks-Luebbe in a news release. “I look forward to working with Foundation Board members as we foster relationships with donors, Mid-State students and our communities.”

Dirks-Luebbe will work closely with Nikki Dhein, Mid-State’s new donor relations manager, who will contribute to the Foundation’s mission by connecting with donors in support of student success and providing support for Foundation events to help fund student scholarships and the emergency grants.

“We are excited to announce this appointment,” said Mary Jo Green, Mid-State Foundation president. “Micki will bring prior foundation experience to our Foundation, and we are confident it will be a smooth transition. With the addition of both director and donor relations manager in place, the Foundation will be able to grow and serve the needs of our donors, students and the College.”

Dhein started in her role at Mid-State this June, bringing over 20 years of experience in radio (as Nikki Montgomery on air), where she worked with many organizations on their events. She has also planned many fundraising events for nonprofits such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, Northwoods Veterans Post, Humane Society of Marathon County, American Red Cross Disaster Relief and more.
