Police & Sheriff calls, May 7-8

May 7

Towed: Police were called to the 1800 block of Portage St. at 11:09 a.m. when a caller reported that a pickup truck was completely blocking their driveway, and they had to leave for an appointment. Johnson Towing was called to take the vehicle away.

 

Violator: Police arrested a 42-year-old woman who was violating conditions of her bond when she was drunk and “acting out” on the 3300 block of Lindbergh Ave. at 12:47 p.m.

Theft: A 61-year-old man reported a theft from the 1100 block of Ridge Rd. at 3:08 p.m. No further details were included in the blotter.

Shoplifters: Police responded to Fleet Farm, 5590 Hwy. 10 East, at 3:17 p.m. when a caller reported two female shoplifters. No further details were included in the blotter.

Fraud: A 57-year-old woman reported to police that she was being defrauded when nude photos were sent to her email address. No further details were included in the blotter.

Moped: A 21-year-old man called police at 4:29 p.m. to say he’d just purchased a used moped but the original owner didn’t have the title, so he was pushing it home. He asked police to ensure it wasn’t stolen.

Neighbor from hell: An 82-year-old man called police to the 3100 block of Martha’s Ln. at 4:26 p.m. to complain that his neighbor was video recording him and harassing him. No further details were included in the blotter.

Crash: Police responded to Division and Park streets at 4:46 p.m. for a two-vehicle collision. No injuries were reported.

Suspicious: Police were called to Texas Ave. and McCulloch St. at 12:50 a.m. when a caller reported that a tan Suburban had been in the parking lot for a couple of hours and people were going in and out of it. No further details were included in the blotter.

After dark: Police notified several people who were in the Lake Pacawa Bandshell  that they couldn’t be there after hours.

Gross: Police responded to the Portage Co. Library, 1001 Main St., at 7:50 a.m. when someone reported a man was “acting very erratic” and masterbating. No further details were included in the blotter.

Crash: Police responded to a car v pedestrian collision on the 1300 block of Maria Dr. at 8:22 a.m. One person was transported for a hand injury. No further details were included in the blotter.

Hit & run: Police were called to a hit and run at Fourth Ave. and Division St. at 8:40 a.m.

Who knows: Police responded to Ben Franklin Jr. High at 9:19 a.m. for “school issues” involving a 38-year-old man. No further details were included in the blotter.

Creepy: A 32-year-old man called police to the 2300 block of Stanley St. at 9:01 p.m. to report that a neighbor on Michigan Ave. was video recording him while he was outside.

Homeless: Police were called to KASH Park at 11:26 p.m. when a caller reported a suspicious person there. The person was advised to leave the area.

Party: Police were called to the 2600 block of Fourth Ave. at 11:40 p.m. when someone reported a loud outdoor party. No further details were included in the blotter.
