The golf team foursome of Ken Andrich, Rhody Mallick, Gary Kedrowski, and Mike Discher snapped the Skyward winning streak on Saturday, Sept. 9, to claim the top spot in the 18th Annual Plover Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10262 Golf Scramble.

The winning team finished the course at 14 under par and was awarded an artillery shell-styled traveling trophy in a ceremony at the Post. Team members’ names will be engraved upon the trophy. The winners also received a dozen golf balls.

Twenty-five teams participated in the fundraising scramble under clear, sunny skies at the Wisconsin River Golf Club, which kicked off at noon.

The event also featured special hole challenges, a banquet dinner and basket raffles afterwards at the Post.

Funds raised will be used for local area veteran needs and community support.
