Team Schierl announces opening date for relocated Subway

Team Schierl Companies will open its new location of Subway later this month.

The North Side Stevens Point Subway restaurant is relocating to 708 Division St. and will open on Wednesday, May 22. A grand opening celebration is planned for the July 4th holiday weekend, featuring discounts on lunch combos and other promotions.

The new facility boasts a dedicated pickup window for online orders, with a promised 15-minute turnaround time, according to a news release from TSC. The dining area will accommodate 30 guests, with additional outdoor seating available during the summer months.

Patrons will be greeted with modern décor, updated equipment, and device charging stations while indulging in freshly sliced meats, full catering options, Subway’s new Lavash bread, and community-focused programs.

Strategically situated near the UWSP campus, the new location offers convenient access for students, faculty, staff, and nearby businesses and offices.

The current Subway location at 135 N. Division St. will close on May 20 and 21 to facilitate the move. The former “The Store” building has undergone extensive renovations and expansion to accommodate the Subway restaurant and an additional rental space.

Company leaders announced in January that they were preparing the location — the site of the first The Store convenience store — for a future roadway design, and a safer pedestrian crossing, at the intersection of Division St. and Fourth Ave.
