Joan North to host her last holiday show

Q Artists Cooperative in Stevens Point will host the Joan North Designs Annual Holiday Show for the 17th and final time in December.

North is a jewelry artist and silversmith who previously was the dean at the College of Professional Studies at UW-Stevens Point before retiring in 2010.

Her work emphasizes shapes and subtle color and often evokes metaphors about life and nature. North’s jewelry has been featured at galleries, museums, and exhibits across the nation.

The public is invited to meet North, explore her new creations, and purchase items from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 2 at Q Artists Cooperative, 1108 Main St.
