Team Schierl Companies raised more than $107,000 at this year’s Charity Golf Classic.

The sold-out event was held at the Stevens Point Country Club on June 19.

The event included “a fantastic day of golf,” according to a news release from TSC, along with activities on the course, raffles, and silent and live auctions.

According to Fritz Schierl, Co-CEO of TSC, the day was so successful because of golfers, sponsorships, and appearances from former Green Bay Packers players Scott Tolzien, Ron Hallstrom, and Bill Ferrario.

Corporate sponsors for the event included Great Lakes Coca-Cola, Miller Lite, and Midwest Communications radio stations 101.9 WDEZ, 95.5 WIFC and 99.9 WSAU.

“The community spirit felt during an event like this is something we are very grateful for,” Schierl said.

Funds raised during the event will benefit several local charities. This year’s recipients include Jeremiah’s Crossing, the Marshfield Community Athletic Facility, Stevens Point Softball Association, and Folds of Honor.

Team Schierl Companies was established in 1956 by John (Butch) Schierl as a home heating oil business. TSC is currently owned and operated by his three sons, Tim, Fritz, and Bill Schierl. TSC operates 59 retail locations in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and employs more than 600 people.
