David “Charlie” Rutta, 68

David “Charlie” Rutta, age 68, of Stevens Point passed away suddenly, July 4, 2019.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Charlie was born November 10, 1950, to Florian and Bessie (Krasavage) Rutta. He attended Stevens Point schools graduating from PJ Jacobs High School in 1969.

On January 20, 1990, he married JoAnn Skierka. Together they enjoyed a 39-year friendship that included 29 years of marriage.

Charlie was a kind, gentle and fun loving soul. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He loved nature, golf, and the Green Bay Packers.

Charlie is survived by his wife JoAnn, sister Patty Aho, nephew Andrew (Jessie) Aho, three sisters-in-law: Julie (Darryn) Belt, Mary (David) Kazmierczak, Barbara Skierka; two brothers-in-law: Rob Skierka and Bill Skierka; and four nephews: Drake Martens-Skierka, Anthony, Timothy, and Jeff Skierka.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and sister Robin.
