Suspicious: Three residents reported to police at 8:06 a.m. that somewhere between Soo Marie and Lindbergh on College Ave., they heard a loud noise, then saw a flash and a puff of smoke. No interruption to electricity or anything out of the ordinary was noted by officers.

Watching for speeders: Officers conducted extra patrol at West River Dr. and West Pleasant St. at 9:26 a.m.

Speeder: A 23-year-old man was cited for speeding at West River Dr.and West Quarry St. at 9:34 a.m.

Porch pirate: A 48-year-old man called police to report that someone had stolen a package from Amazon from his porch on the 1900 block of Water St. at 10:21 a.m.

Crash: Police responded to SPASH, 1201 North Point Dr., at 11:43 a.m. for a two-vehicle collision. No injuries were reported.

Escort: Police and deputies assisting in escorting a funeral procession from St. Peter’s Church to Guardian Angel Cemetery at 11:39 a.m.

Lockout: Officers stopped to assist a motorist who accidentally locked their child in a running vehicle on West Wilson Ave. at 12:29 p.m.

Theft: Police were called to Taco John’s, 1616 Academy Ave., when a manager reported a theft had taken cash from the business. No further details were included in the blotter.

Crashes: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in the North Point Dr. at 2:53 p.m., and again at 3:16 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Fraud: A 61-year-old woman called police to the 600 block of Sixth A. at 3:17 p.m. to report someone opened a credit line in her name.

Parking problems: A caller complained to police at 4:16 p.m. that “at least 20 vehicles” were parked in the lane of traffic in front of Ben Franklin Jr. High, 2000 Polk St. No further details were included in the blotter.

Yeller: A 49-year-old man called police to Metro Market, 1500 Pinecrest Ave., to report an unknown man who appeared intoxicated was “walking around yelling at people.” No further details were included in the blotter.

Break-in: Police were called to the 200 block of Frederick St. at 7:52 p.m. when a caller reported two known persons, a 41-year-old woman, and a man, age 60, had broken into the house.

Welfare check: A caller reported to police that an unknown man was lying in the road on the 1200 block of West River Dr. at 8:57 p.m. grunting and mumbling. No further details were included in the blotter.
