SentryWorld to offer caddie scholarships

SentryWorld will award two scholarships for the 2018-19 school year.

The scholarships, awarded in September, are open to caddies attending an accredited two-year technical college or four-year university.

The new SentryWorld Caddie Scholarships are designed to recognize SentryWorld caddies pursuing higher education who demonstrate leadership through a strong caddie record, excellent grades, outstanding character, and a record of community service.

“Our purpose for sponsoring the scholarships is to provide a quality education opportunity for caddies who’ve served our SentryWorld guests with outstanding commitment and service, and help develop future business and community leaders,” said Mike James, SentryWorld general manager. “We believe that by supporting higher education, we’re investing in the future.”

Candidates, among other requirements, need to have caddied at SentryWorld a minimum of two consecutive golf seasons.
