Scouting troop to hold meet and greet

A local Boy Scout troop will hold a recruiting meet and greet later this week.
A “Rocking Into Scouting” event will be held at Belts’ Soft Serve, 2140 Division St., on Aug. 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Kids in kindergarten through 5th grade who sign up to join Cub Scouts will earn a model rocket to build and launch with their families. Those in grades 6 to 12 will earn a pocket knife.
The troop is taking boys and girls as members and meets at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1410 Rogers St.
