Portage Co. Taste of Wine & Cheese returns in April

The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County has announced the 2024 Taste of Wine & Cheese event.

The lavish, 18th-annual affair promises an evening of exceptional wines, gourmet cheeses, delectable desserts, and a chance to make a significant impact on kids in Portage County.

The event is scheduled for Friday, April 19, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. in the Noel Group Hangar at the Stevens Point Municipal Airport.

Taste of Wine & Cheese serves as the Boys & Girls Club’s primary fundraiser, with proceeds directly supporting the provision of meals, programs, and services for local children.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 1st, and can be purchased at www.bgclubpc.org/wine_and_cheese. Interested persons are are encouraged to secure their tickets early, as space is limited.

The event will showcase a diverse array of over 100 wines and specialty cheeses courtesy of Festival Foods, local beers, delicious desserts, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Apart from enjoying exceptional wines, guests will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive silent auction, raffles, and other engaging activities.

The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County aims to raise substantial funds to continue inspiring and empowering the children of Portage County through its various programs and locations.

This year’s sponsors include Festival Foods, John and Patty Noel, Len Dudas Motors, WAOW, Midwest Communications, and many others.
