Police & Sheriff calls, Jan. 28

Editor’s Note: Dozens of single-vehicle slide-in crashes were reported to Portage Co. dispatchers in the past 24 hours. For the sake of efficiency, they are not all listed here.

Jan. 28

Stuck: Police responded to Sixth Ave. and Division St. at 6:24 a.m. to assist a 21-year-old man whose vehicle was stuck in the snow.

Veggie Tosser: Police arrested a 41-year-old man at 12:41 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct after a caller from Trigs, 1600 Academy Ave., reported he was swearing at employees and “throwing produce around the store”.

Crash: Deputies responded to Hwy 10 and County Trunk B at 8:21 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.

Crash: A 59-year-old woman was arrested for her second OWI offense hear Hwy. 54 and Johnson Ave. in Plover at 8:12 a.m.
