Germaine “Ger” Ann Moser, 77

Germaine “Ger” Ann Moser, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

She was born on July 24, 1945, in Stevens Point, the daughter of the late Stanley and Cecilia (née Ziolkowski) Eckendorf.

After graduating from Rosholt High School in 1963, Ger moved to Milwaukee where she met her husband of 57 years, Clarence “Joe” Moser. They were married on February 19, 1966. They had one daughter, Michelle, in 1967 and moved back to the Polonia area in 1972 to be closer to family.

Ger had many passions in life, several of which she also turned into career opportunities. Her love of cooking and baking led to a job as head baker at the Blueberry Muffin in Stevens Point, where she made the best cinnamon twist rolls in the world. Her love of children led her to earn her teaching certificate and become a beloved daycare teacher for many years. She touched the lives of many children and was loved by all.

She was a devout Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Polonia. She loved singing in the choir and worked in the school cafeteria for some time, donating vegetables from her home garden. Her faith brought her much comfort and helped her through many difficult times

“Nona” was an amazing grandmother to her two grandchildren, Erin and Ross. She kept them busy and entertained with lots of fun activities and gave them much love and many cuddles. She was just as amazing as “Auntie Maine/Mame” to her many nieces and nephews and their children as well.
Ger is survived by her husband Joe Moser, her daughter, Michelle Breaker (Ron), granddaughter Erin Breaker, and grandson Ross Breaker.

She also leaves behind six surviving siblings: Betty Groshek, Diane Myska, Richard Eckendorf (Elaine), Doris Ostrowski, Darlene Kuehl (Michael), and Joan O’Neill. She will also be missed by dozens of nieces and nephews, and their children, especially her Goddaughter, Kerri O’Neill (Justin) and her children, Joey, Joan, and Judith, and her nephew Clayton O’Neill who was like a son to her. She also leaves behind her precious pups Levi and Paris who brought her much joy and comfort.

Ger was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Cecilia Eckendorf; her brothers, Ernest and Leroy Eckendorf; and her dear sister, Nancy Groshek.

There will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.

We invite you to make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her honor (StJude.org).
