Spring jazz sessions return to Scarabocchio

The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra and Smith Scarabocchio Art Museum have announced the schedule for the 2018 Scarabocchio Jazz Listening Sessions.

Each of the six sessions features local professional musicians performing standards, newly-composed and improvised jazz music in an intimate setting. The live performances will be held at the Smith Scarabocchio Art Museum, 800 Main St. in Stevens Point.

Admission is a $10 suggested donation at the door and refreshments are provided.

Session dates follow:

Monday, Feb. 12, 7-8:30 PM, feat. Tom McComb, Cully Swansen, Jim Guckenberg, and David Hastings

Wednesday, March 7, 6–7:30 PM, feat. Tim Buchholtz, Sara Rifleman, Dave Story, Jim Guckenberg, and David Hastings

Wednesday, March 21, 6-7:30 PM, feat. Sara Rifleman Trio (Sara Rifleman, Cully Swansen, Matt Rhyner), and David Hastings

Wednesday, April 4, 6-7:30 PM, feat. Guy.ev.ski Quartet (Tracy Gajewski, Nick Gajewski, Jenny Bellmer, and Lee Illagen)

Monday, April 16, 7-8:30 PM, feat. Brent Turney, Pat Lawrence, Mathew Buchman, Cully Swansen, and Ryan Korb

Wednesday, May 2, 6-7:30 PM, feat. Omnos (Zachary Finnegan, Jacob Opperman, Austin Bolden and Adam Hatton)
