May 21
Battery: Plover police arrested a 26-year-old woman on charges of battery and bail-jumping following an incident on the 2500 block of Forest Dr. at 2 a.m.
Theft: A 35-year-old man reported that his vehicle was stolen while he was dropping food off at a friend’s house on the 3400 block of Church St. at 2:10 a.m.
Ditched: Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Hwy. 66 West at 7:43 a.m. when a caller reported a 21-year-old male motorist wound up in a ditch along the side of the road.
Theft: Deputies took a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 5800 block of Algoma St. at 8:14 a.m. No further details were released.
Crash: A 27-year-old man was cited for operating without insurance after crashing into a speed limit sign near Pinecrest Ave. and Jefferson Ave. at 3:27 p.m.
Assault: Police arrested a 24-year-old man on numerous charges relating to an assault on the 2400 block of Algoma St. at 5 p.m. The woman spent the night in the hospital with serious injuries.
Bail-jumper: Police arrested a 25-year-old woman on three counts of bail-jumping on the 1000 block of Second St. North at 8:13 p.m.
Nearly a cat-tastrophe: A 52-year-old man called police to the 3400 block of Church St. at 11:48 p.m. to report his cat was locked in his vehicle. Police assisted the man in unlocking the vehicle.
May 22
Noisy: Police cited a 62-year-old man for excessive noise after a neighbor complained about his loud music from the 1400 block of Torun Rd. at 1:18 a.m.
Underager: A 20-year-old man was cited for underage drinking and having a fake ID on the 1100 block of Main St. at 3:04 a.m. He was caught after he passed out on the street and officers stopped to conduct a welfare check.
Gun thief: A 48-year-old man called police to report an unknown person stole a handgun from his vehicle as it was parked on the 3100 block of Dan’s Dr. at 2 p.m.
Theft: A 60-year-old woman called deputies to the 10000 block of Hwy. 54 in Amherst at 12:36 p.m. to report someone had stolen a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked there.
Mobile sleeper: Police were called to conduct a welfare check on a 39-year-old man who was sleeping on a cot between The Store, 708 Division St., and the gas station’s storage shed, at 3:55 p.m. The man said he was okay, and police asked him to move along.
Hoser: Police were called to the 1400 block of Rogers St. at 6:43 p.m. when a caller reported an unknown man was using their garden hose. The suspect, a 25-year-old man, said he was visiting a friend who lived in the area and accidentally went to the wrong house.
Violater: Deputies arrested a 20-year-old man for violating his bond condition of absolute sobriety from the 9700 block of County Trunk KK at 7:40 p.m.
Harassment: Deputies arrested a 33-year-old man for harassing people while he was intoxicated at a gas station on the 8300 block of Monica Rd. in Bancroft at 9:21 p.m.
Assault: An assault was reported on the 1500 block of North Second Dr. at 10:30 p.m.
May 23
Threats: Police were called to Steve O’s, 1327 Second St., at 2:14 a.m. after a man who’d been asked to leave the bar threatened to return with a gun. The man told police he did not own a gun and left without further incident.
OWI: Police cited a 26-year-old man for operating while intoxicated, first offense, and failure to stop at a flashing red signal, at Second St. and Fourth Ave. at 3:11 a.m. The man was released to a responsible third party.
Sleeper: Police were called to the 3500 block of Stanley St. at 5:40 p.m. after a caller reported a 48-year-old man was sleeping behind the building. The man was asked to move along.
Resister: Police served an arrest warrant at a halfway house on the 1000 block of Arlington Pl. at 12:39 p.m. The suspect, a 39-year-old man, was being taken in for a probation violation but after resisting officers he faces an additional charge of obstruction.
Drunk cyclist: Deputies and medics were called to Cedar and Birch streets in Whiting at 6:12 p.m. when a caller reported an intoxicated man, age 48, fell off of his bicycle. The man was assisted on his way home.
