Plover Fire and EMS mourns loss of longtime EMT
By Brandi Makuski
A longtime EMT from the Plover Fire Department has died.
Linda Leindecker died on Nov. 6 following a battle with cancer. She had been an EMT with the village since 2011.
Fire Chief Mark Deaver called Leindecker “a faithful and dedicated member” of the department.
“Her love for serving others inspired her to get her Advanced EMT license later in her EMS career,” the department said in a social media post.
Leindecker was instrumental in training the Plover EMS staff in animal and pet emergencies.
A funeral service has been scheduled at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 3210 Maple Dr. in Plover. A visitation will begin at 9 a.m., also at the church.
It was not immediately clear if, or when, PFD would host a Final Bell ceremony in Leindecker’s honor.
