Plover church to host award-winning musician

National recording artist Mark Mitchell Schultz is coming to Plover.

The contemporary Christian music artist will perform at Brookridge Church, formerly known as Grace Baptist Church, on Dec. 5.

Schultz has been nominated for numerous Dove Awards, winning his first at the 2006 Dove Awards when the CD/DVD Mark Schultz Live: A Night of Stories & Songs was named “Long Form Music Video of the Year.”

Schultz is a platinum-selling artist currently on his “Different Kind of Christmas” tour, named for his holiday-themed single.

The concert will be an intimate evening with Mark, featuring his storytelling, and performances of some of his hit songs from over the years as well as songs from his 2018 “Christmas” album.

Schultz, who was adopted as an infant, is also a spokesman for the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, among other organizations.

Pastor Brian Richard said he was excited about the concert, adding, “We rarely have a number No. 1 selling artist of any genre to our community.”
