Lucille (Lucy) Mae Perron, 90

Lucille (Lucy) Mae Perron, age 90, recently of Dayton, Tenn., died February 5, 2024. 

Lucille was born on June 18, 1933, in Janesville, Wis., to Wayne & Geraldine (née Schrack) Wheeler. 

She married Alton E. Perron on May 8, 1954, at the Meehan Community Church in Plover.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton, and daughter, Linda Scarbrough.

Lucille and Alton served as home missionaries for six years in Nebraska, and then served for 26 years on staff at Appalachian Bible College, Bradley, WV. They retired to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, then moved to Maranatha Village in Sebring, Fla. 

Lucy loved singing, sewing, reading, cleaning, traveling, and helping others. 

She is survived by sons, Randall (Kim) Perron of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and David (Janice) Perron of Dayton, Tenn.; and son-in-law, Ivan (Cheryl) Scarbrough of Talbot, Tenn. 

Lucille is also survived by four grandchildren, Nathan (Meg) Perron of Indianapolis, Ind., Hannah (Les) Cantrell of Ormond Beach, Fla., Nathan (Brittany) Scarbrough of Fultondale, Ala., and Shaina Scarbrough of Bluefield, WV; plus five great-grandchildren – Mary, Lucy, and Seth Perron of Indianapolis, Ind.; Banks Scarbrough of Fultondale, Ala.; and Liliana Scarbrough of Bluefield, WV.

A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. CST on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Boston Funeral Home. Gordon Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in Meehan Cemetery in Plover.
