Metro Wire Staff

The Portage County Public Library has adapted some of its adult programs during the winter COVID season.

The programs follow:

Tai Chi classes are offered virtually every Wednesday morning. Beginners meet at 9:30 a.m while intermediates meet at 10:15 a.m. To request access, email [email protected].

Movie Club will next meet on February 18 at 2 p.m., with a focus on documentaries. Those interested in participating can choose to view one movie, or binge all five. The discussion will take place virtually; request access by sending an email to [email protected].

Take & Makes are craft and hobby kits. New kits are put out twice monthly and are available while supplies last. In February, the first kit will provide everything needed to participate in The Great Backyard Bird Count. The second kit will be a Pompom Succulent craft.

Book Clubs: There are five meeting times for the library’s three book clubs. February titles include Daisy Jones and the Six, Their Eyes Were Watching God, and The Mermaid, The Witch, and the Sea. The discussion will take place virtually; request access by sending an email to [email protected].
