Letter: If you value education, vote for Katrina Shankland
To The Editor –
I am currently the president of the Stevens Point Area Public School Board. However, the thoughts and opinions expressed in this letter to the editor are my personal thoughts and opinions and are NOT made on behalf of the school board.
I believe that education is the key that unlocks doors to future success for our local students, families, businesses, and communities. Our local schools, at all levels, help to mold and create our individual futures, the workforce for our future, and what our communities are now and will be for future generations to come.
Representative Shankland has worked tirelessly to support educational opportunities for her constituents, from birth throughout life. She has been a champion of early childhood, pre-K through 12, technical two-year, four-year college education, workforce training and development, and lifelong learning for all of us.
She is passionate and relentless about creating educational pathways for us, no matter what stage we are in throughout our lives. I am grateful for her vision, leadership, and day-by-day efforts to both create and unlock doors for a brighter future for you and me.
Please cast your vote for Katrina Shankland for Wisconsin State Assembly.
