Hwy. 10 westbound lane to close for utility work

Metro Wire Staff

Westbound motorists on Hwy. 10 may experience traffic delays beginning Oct. 4.

The Stevens Point Public Utilities Department will close the northern westbound lane of Hwy. 10 between Old Hwy. 18/Maple Bluff Rd. (at Kwik Trip) and Brilowski Rd. (at Fleet Farm) beginning Monday.

The lane closure will allow utility crews to repair storm sewer inlets, according to Public Utilities Director Joel Lemke.

The project is expected to be complete on Oct. 8 but it may carry over into the following week.

Motorists should allow for extra travel time as a backup in traffic is likely.
