Family Video to close remaining 250+ stores

By Patrick Lynn

Family Video is closing for good.

Highland Ventures CEO Keith Hoogland made the announcement on Tuesday, saying the remaining 250-plus stores across the country will be closing beginning Jan. 6.

The stores have begun their liquidation sales, offloading movies, video games, CBD products, and store fixtures at “closeout prices,” Hoogland said. Each location will officially close once all of their inventory is sold.

“We are very thankful to have been able to provide entertainment for many family movie nights, and want to thank our customers and our incredible staff for the many years of support and service,” he said.

The company will also continue to sell movies, games, and other merchandise at www.familyvideo.com until it is sold out.

Family Video has been in operation since 1978. While we are closing our doors, you can still visit us at our website www.familyvideo.com to purchase movies, games, CBD products, and other merchandise. The store will officially close when inventory is sold out.
