COVID-19 knocks out Easter events, ice show

Metro Wire Staff

Several spring events operated through the city’s parks department have been canceled in an effort to limit public gatherings and keep the public safe from COVID-19 exposure.

The “Ice Circus” ice show, scheduled for April 4 and 5 at K.B. Willet Arena, has been called off. Anyone who has already purchased tickets will have their money refunded. Please go to www.stevenspoint.com/skate for further details.

The annual Peeps art show, held at Riverfront Arts Center, has also been canceled. The show takes diorama-style artwork, made of the popular marshmallow Peep candy, from the public, for a community display over the Easter season. This year would have marked the 13th annual show. The show is expected to return in 2021.

Also canceled is the 2020 Easter Egg Hunt, which had been scheduled for Saturday, April 11.
