Catholic school system’s president steps down

By Patrick Lynn

Cindy Weber has stepped down from her role as President of the Pacelli Catholic Schools.

According to an email sent to PCS families on March 6, Weber’s resignation was effective March 3. No reason for her resignation was given.

Father Ed Shuttleworth, Dean of the Stevens Point Deanery, will be working with school administrators, pastors, and staff to determine how to move forward.

“Together with members of the Education Commission, they will ultimately begin the search to identify a new president for the Pacelli Catholic Schools,” Shuttleworth said in his email. “Trusting in the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we invite your prayers during this time of transition.”

Shuttleworth also thanked Weber for her time in office. Weber has been leading PCS for three years and had been heavily involved with the United Way on behalf of the school district.
