Arvid Royal Brathovde, Jr., 73

Arvid Royal Brathovde Jr, age 73, of Stevens Point, passed away Friday evening February 12, 2021, at Stevens Point Health Services (River Pines), where he had resided since 2019.

Private services and burial with his parents in Amherst will take place.

Arvid was born December 22, 1947, in Milwaukee, the son of Arvid and Rosemary (Bartonich) Brathovde.

After his schooling, Arvid worked at Continental Canning in Milwaukee for 20 years. He moved with his family to Portage County in the mid-’70s and he settled in Stevens Point.

Arvid was known to playfully “bark” at people that entered his room and was well known for his great personality. He enjoyed watching TV shows—Alvin and the Chipmunks, Peter Rabbit, and Bugs Bunny were his favorites. He also liked working with train sets and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother. He is survived by his good friends Jeff and Stephanie Cooper and family.
