William “Bill” Otto, 64

William “Bill” Otto, age 64, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack at his home on June 1, 2021.

A Celebration of Life service for Bill will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Shuda Funeral Chapel: 3200 Stanley St. in Stevens Point.

Friends and family will gather to share memories from 11 a.m. on Monday until the time of services at Shuda’s.

Bill was born August 3, 1956, in Appleton, the son of George and Barbara (Gonion) Otto. His family moved to Stevens Point in 1972 and he graduated from SPASH in 1974. He began working at Sentry Insurance in 1976 and worked there until moving to First Financial in 1988, and retired from Specialized Computer Systems and Fibernet in 2020.

Bill enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers, and St. Louis Blues.

Bill is survived by his mother Barbara Otto, Neenah; two brothers Paul Otto, Stevens Point; John (Ruth) Otto, Madison. Two sisters Linda (Tom) Peeters, Greenville; Patti Borchardt, Stevens Point; his nephews and nieces were very special to him, they are Lisa (Eric) Westman, Meagan (Ryan) Gebler, Brooke (Paul) Vandenboogaard, Erik (Jacci) Borchardt, Anna Borchardt (Ramsy White), and Claire, Camie and Owen Otto. He is also survived by five great-nephews and three great-nieces.

Bill is also survived by his great friend and favorite fishing partner Rob Borchardt. He was preceded in death by his father George.
