Transfer facility, MRF, announce winter, holiday hours

The Portage County Solid Waste Department has announced new hours for the winter and upcoming holidays.

The Transfer Facility and Material Recovery Facility (MRF) will be open during the following hours in 2021-22:

Closed
Saturday, November 6, 20, 27
Thursday, November 25 (Thanksgiving)

Saturday, December 4, 11, & 25
Friday, December 24 (Christmas Eve)

Saturday, January 1, 2022

Open
Saturday, November 13 from 7:30 am – 12 pm (extended hours)
Friday, November 26 from 7:30 am – 3 pm (normal hours)

Saturday, December 18 from 7:30 am – 12 pm (extended hours)

Outside of the closures and special hours, the Portage County Solid Waste Department will be open during its normal hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
