Pacelli grad retires from U.S. Army

Master Sergeant Cristi Pettit has retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Army.

Pettit, 40, enlisted in August of 2000 as a mechanic and saw four combat tours in Iraq with the 3rd Infantry Division of Ft. Stewart, GA, where she was awarded two Bronze Stars. She toured one year in Korea as a Career Counselor.

While stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas, she was also deployed to Afghanistan.

She finished her military career at Ft. Knox, KY, and has since relocated to the East Coast, where she’s raising her daughter.

Pettit is a 1999 graduate of Pacelli High School and the daughter of Patrick and Belinda Pettit, Stevens Point.
