Sen. Patrick Testin has been presented with the 2019 Property Taxpayer Champion Award.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, John Jacobson, the Government Relations Director for Wisconsin Property Taxpayers Inc., visited the State Capitol to present Testin with the award in early December.

Jacobson said the group was grateful for Testin’s record of service to taxpayers, and for his support of the burgeoning hemp industry in the state.

“We appreciate his efforts to give farmers new opportunities with the reintroduction of hemp, as well as his sensible approach to pro-growth, reasonable tax policies,” he said.

Testin said he was “honored” to receive the award, and thanked the group for its advocacy on behalf of taxpayers—and the groups “outspoken support” for the hemp industry.

“By working together, we’re moving toward a blossoming of opportunity for folks across the state,” Testin said.
