Metro Wire Staff

Stevens Point firefighters are looking for a new t-shirt design to accompany their annual breast cancer awareness campaign.

The Stevens Point Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation is holding its annual pink t-shirt contest through the end of September. The group wants community involvement and will choose a winning design based on public input.

Designs from artists of all ages are welcome, the foundation said in the press release. The deadline for submission is Sept. 30, 3018.

Voting will take place on the Stevens Point Firefighters – IAFF Local 484 Facebook page Oct. 1-15.

The winning design will be used for the 2019 October Breast Cancer Awareness Month t-shirt campaign.

Designs can be sent via email to [email protected] with the subject heading PINK SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST. Artwork can also be mailed to Stevens Point Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation, Inc., Attn: Pink Shirt Contest, P.O. Box 484, Stevens Point, Wis., 54481.

For more information on the contest, and for contest rules, go to stevenspointfirefighters.org, (under “Charitable Foundation” tab), or email [email protected].

The Stevens Point Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation, Inc. was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, with current and retired members of the Stevens Point Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 484 Union. The group reports that so far they’ve donated over $74,400 to the community.
