SPASH graduation ceremony returns to the Fieldhouse

The SPASH Class of 2021 will gather this month for the traditional graduation ceremony held inside the Panther’s Fieldhouse.

According to Principal Jon Vollendorf, just over 500 students will cross the stage on the afternoon of Sunday, May 30. Each student was allowed two tickets this year for their families to attend.

But this year will look slightly different. Vollendorf said masks are required by all attendees, and the ceremony will go on without live music performances, extra staff, or school board members in attendance. As a result, he said, the ceremony will be much shorter.

Based on guidance from the Portage Co. Health Department, Vollendorf said each section of bleachers will be assigned specific entry/exit doors.

The ceremony begins at 1 p.m. and will be live-streamed at the following link: http://bit.ly/SPASHGrad2021.
