Second St. to close next week

Second St. will close to traffic at the Fifth St. intersection on Monday.

City crews will close the roadway so they can install underground utilities, part of the Fifth St. reconstruction project. Detour signs will be posted.

Work should be done by Oct. 1, depending on the weather.

Once the intersection reopens, the intersection will be temporarily covered with a gravel surface. Additional closures will occur at later dates as the project progresses.
