Riverfront Arts Center taking submissions for new juried exhibit

The Riverfront Arts Center is seeking submissions for the 24th annual Visions Fine Art Exhibit.

“Visions XXIV” is an open-theme, open-media, juried exhibit with $600 in cash prizes sponsored in memory of Wilma L. Pfiffner.

This year’s juror, Stephon ‘Kiba’ Freeman, will recognize one artist with a $300 Best in Show Award and three additional artists with $100 Honorable Mention Awards.

Submissions are due for the jury on Thursday, June 15, and Friday, June 16, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Riverfront Arts Center.

All work will be juried for consideration into the exhibit, but not all work will be selected. An opening reception for “Visions XXIV” will be held Thursday, June 29, from 4:30-7 p.m., and the work will be on display until Sunday, August 13.

The Riverfront Arts Center is located at 1200 Crosby Ave., and is open to the public free of charge. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gallery is closed on holidays and between exhibits.
