Public invited to Marine Corps birthday ball

The United States Marines are turning 243, and the public is invited to the party.

The Central Wisconsin Marine Corps Ball will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10. The evening will begin with an open bar at 5 p.m. which will extend until close, with the exception of top-shelf drinks.

A special welcome ceremony and presentation of colors will take place at 6:15 p.m. Dinner seating will begin at 6:30, with dancing to follow.

The ball is open to everyone regardless of military service. Attendees should dress nicely.
