Police & Sheriff calls, Feb. 26

Feb. 26

Lone Walker: A motorist called police at 3:25 a.m. to ask for a welfare check on a man walking along Highway 66. The motorist said they nearly struck the man on the side of the road.

Stop Shouting: Police were called to the corner of Third St. and Fourth Ave. at 7:01 a.m. after someone reported a suspicious man “yelling at the air”. The man was told to stop.

Skipped the Register: A 52-year-old woman was cited for retail theft after leaving Trigs, 1600 Academy Ave., with a bag full of groceries she had not paid for at 11:21 a.m.

Mailbox Fatality: A 41-year-old woman called police from the 4800 block of Hummingbird Ln. at 11:56 a.m. to report her mailbox was damaged.

Welfare Check: Deputies were called to the 5800 block of Mosquito Bluff Rd. in Plainfield at 9:18 a.m. to assist a 72-year-old woman without water and snowed in.
