Prior to mass, an immediate family visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. will be held at Shuda Funeral Home, 2400 Plover Rd. in Plover. Due to the pandemic, social distancing and masks will be required in church and visitation. A celebration of Pat’s life will also be held this summer to be announced later.

Pat was born December 1, 1942, in Stevens Point, the daughter of the late Raymond and Kathryn (Ciula) Witkowski. She attended St. Stanislaus Elementary and graduated from Maria High School in 1961.

She completed cosmetology school in Wausau and worked as a beautician in Stevens Point until she married her high school sweetheart, Leon Ostrowski, on June 29, 1963, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

The couple moved to Michigan, where they lived and raised their family until a job transfer brought them to Waterloo, Belgium for three years. This began a life of world travel, first with the family, and then continued into retirement. Pat made friends along the way and kept in touch with them all.

In retirement, she and Leon moved back to Plover to be near family. Although she traveled to many places, her heart and love were always back with her family. She lived her life for her grandchildren and as they were growing up, she attended many of their events or would call to get the details if she wasn’t there. FaceTime was her favorite thing, as she could keep in touch will all her children and grandchildren and see what they were doing. As she was fighting Covid, she continued to FaceTime with her family allowing them to be with her during this fight. She will be missed deeply by all her family and friends for her smile, ability to listen, and her love for everyone.

Pat is survived by her husband Leon and their three children:  Debbie (John) Setzke, Madison; Lynn (Thomas) Dyer, Minneola, FL; Brian (Donna) Ostrowski, Greensboro, NC.  Grandchildren:  Brent Setzke and Kaley (Josiah) Zanghi; Logan, Brooke, and Nolan Dyer; Noah, Megan, and Lauren Ostrowski. Three sisters: Bonnie (Ron) Jones, Wausau, WI; Bev (Doug) Tucker, Oregon, WI; Mary (John) Kraft, Stevens Point, WI.  Her beloved dog Jip.

A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established for the Diabetes Association.
