Pair of home runs lift SPASH softball over Wausau East

The Panthers Softball team defeated Wausau East 14-1 in a WVC conference home game.

After a scoreless first inning, Kayla Lass hit a home run to center field to put the Panthers on the board in the second inning of play. SPASH scored six runs in the third inning with Berley Lake hitting a home run to center field and followed with seven runs scored in the seventh inning.

SPASH collected eight hits. Berkley Lake lead SPASH with 3 RBIs. Meg Miklesh and Kennedy Vanderloop each tallied two RBIs in the contest.

Jaden Jones earned the victory in the circle allowing two hits, one run, striking out nine and walking one over four innings. Kristin Richter threw one inning of relief.

The Panthers will travel to Wausau West on Tuesday for a 4:30 p.m. matchup.
