Pacelli Catholic Schools to celebrate Catholic Schools Week

By Patrick Lynn

Catholic Schools Week is set to begin on Jan. 31 in Stevens Point.

The weeklong recognition celebrates the Catholic school system’s three pillars—Faith, Excellence, and Service.

Many of the system’s traditional events—grandparent luncheons, a joint middle and high school Mass, and other activities—will not be held this year due to COVID-19. But each of the system’s five buildings will celebrate in their own ways, with special dress-up days, and service projects that will benefit local senior living centers, active duty military, veterans, and area parishioners.

Daily themes at each building will be centered around celebrating the community, Catholic parishes and faith, the nation, student and staff families, teachers and staff, and students.

Masses from each of the schools will be available via live stream and community members are encouraged to celebrate Mass virtually with Pacelli Catholic Schools students.

Tours of each of the PCS facilities—Tim Copps Early Childhood Center, St. Stephen Elementary School, St. Bronislava Elementary School, Pacelli Catholic Middle School, and Pacelli Catholic High School—will also be available, by appointment, on Friday, Feb. 5.

Space remains available for new students interested in enrolling for the spring 2021 semester, or the 2021-22 school year.

The system places a priority on academic excellence through its small class sizes, according to a news release from the school, and all of the system’s schools are open for in-person instruction five days a week.

Anyone interested in a tour can also save $1,000 on their student’s tuition.

Anyone considering a Catholic education is asked to schedule a visit by calling 715.341.2445.

Pacelli Catholic Schools’ buildings are all open for tours by appointment on Friday, February 5, and anyone considering a Catholic education is encouraged to schedule a visit.
