Nancy Rita Grezenski, 79

Nancy Rita Grezenski, 79, of Stevens Point passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at the Dimensions Assisted Living Center.

Nancy was born on May 22, 1944 in Rosholt on the family farm. She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Irene Tryba. She attended Rosholt Grade School, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1964.

After high school, she worked at Weber Tackle, was a housewife, helped her husband operate Gary’s Tap and Grill, had a home cleaning business, and then worked at the Portage County Health Care Center for over a decade before her retirement in 2012.

Her marriage to Gary Grezenski took place on July 1, 1967 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Junction City. After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband Gary preceded her in death on July 10, 1997.

In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, the Green Bay Packers, bird watching, loved listening and dancing to polka music. In her younger days she loved wearing a cowgirl hat and attending the Hodag. Nothing brought more joy to her life than spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children; Randy (Tammy) Grezenski of Stevens Point, Amy (Travis) Agnew of Madison, Brian (Elizabeth) Grezenski of Spring Hill, Tenn., Jason (Nicole Soberg) Grezenski of Ringle, and Curtis (Sean Pagnani) Grezenski of Boston, Mass., her 10 grandchildren; Emily Grezenski, Paige Grezenski, Elias Agnew, Danite Agnew, Aman Agnew, Carson Quince, Hayden Grezenski, Evan Grezenski, Thorynn Soberg, Tryden Soberg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was further survived by three sisters; Joan Tryba of Stevens Point, Bernadine (Clifford) Wojtalewicz of Junction City, and Joyce (Kurt) Rajkowski of Rudolph, and four brothers Ralph (Joanne) Tryba of Marshfield, LeRoy (Belva) Tryba of Junction City, Joseph (Gail) Tryba of Junction City and James (Carrie) Tryba of Freedom, Wis..

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary and a brother Chet.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Steven Brice will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 21 from 4-7 p.m. at the Pisarski Funeral Home. There will be a parish rosary at 7 to conclude the visitation. There will be a second visitation on Friday, March 22 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. at the Parish Center of Holy Spirit Church until the time of mass.
