MREA seeks exhibitors, presenters for 32nd annual Energy Fair

By Patrick Lynn

The Midwest Renewable Energy Association has announced the return of The Energy Fair.

Now in its 32nd year at the MREA campus in Custer, next year’s event will be held June 23-25. It’s a means to connect innovation in clean energy and sustainable living with the general public.

“But, as innovative technologies emerge, we have the opportunity to advance a Just Energy Transition that opens widespread community development and job opportunities. This is what we are so excited to share at The 2023 Energy Fair,” said Lauren Graves, communications director for the MREA.

The Energy Fair brings an average of 11,500 industry professionals and sustainable living enthusiasts together for the three-day event. The Fair offers exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their contribution to renewable energy, sustainable living, and energy efficiency advancements while creating a robust network of lasting professional and personal connections.

By securing booth space, exhibitors can utilize the large Fair audience to grow their business and increase brand recognition.

MREA says its annual surveys show that workshops are the number one reason for Energy Fair attendance. Curated to educate, connect, and inspire, the Fair offers hundreds of 50-minute workshops over the course of the weekend, presented by topic experts.

“We are so proud to have this incredible channel driven by knowledgeable and passionate people. We ask for energy professionals and sustainability enthusiasts to share their wisdom by submitting a workshop proposal in order to continue our mission of education and demonstration,” Graves said.

Workshop categories include, but are not limited to:

  • Building Electrification, Design, & Energy Efficiency
  • Do It Yourself (DIY)
  • Educator Resources
  • Electric Vehicles & Clean Transportation
  • Energy Professionals & Professional Development
  • Going Solar (Home, Business, School, Community, etc.)
  • Large-Scale Renewables (Solar, Solar Electric, Wind, Water, etc.)
  • Policy and Community Organizing
  • Project Finance
  • Kids’ Activities
  • Sustainable Farm, Food, & Forest
  • Sustainable Living

Exhibitors and workshop presenters receive weekend admission to The Energy Fair with exhibitor/presenter badges, as well as admission to the Pre-Fair Thursday night networking dinner.

Exhibitor and workshop registrations are now open. For more information, please visit TheEnergyFair.org to learn more about this year’s event, or to register.
