Mid-State Technical College hosted its largest fundraiser of the year on June 12.

The 31st annual Mid-State Foundation Golf Outing hosted 68 golfers on 17 teams at SentryWorld Golf Course, which had a circus-theme for the 18-hole fundraiser event.

With help from 10 event sponsors and 25 volunteers, the event raised $8,000 to help fund about 20 different scholarships for students.

“I am consistently impressed by the overwhelming support our community partners continue to show at our annual golf outing,” said Jill Steckbauer, director of Mid-State’s Foundation & Alumni. “It’s gratifying that so many individuals and businesses choose to invest in the future of central Wisconsin by helping our students achieve their educational goals.”

During the event, Mid-State president Dr. Shelly Mondeik greeted teams at the scenic flower hole to show her gratitude on behalf of the college.
