Letter: ‘Tis the season to ring bells, volunteer

To the Editor:

How do you feed 13 people in one hour? By ringing a bell during the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

I’m writing to encourage you to donate two hours of your time to help those in need in your community. The time you contribute goes by very quickly and the benefits last for the next 12 months. You’ll likely encounter friends and family during your shift and you can share the joy of the season with them. Your investment of just two hours will return benefits for the next 12 months and the money you help raise will stay in Portage County.
