Iverson, Goerke Winter Sports Areas Open

The city’s parks dept. has announced the winter sports areas at Iverson and Goerke parks are now open.

Skating rinks at both parks opened on Dec. 22, along with the sledding and toboggan hills at Iverson. Iverson Park also boasts a tracked, two-and-a-half mile cross-country ski trail. Both parks have a warming lodge.

The winter sports areas are open on Fridays from 6-9 PM, noon to 8 PM on Saturdays and noon to 5 PM on Sundays.

Iverson is home to two 300-foot-long toboggan runs, with six- or eight-foot sleds available for rental at $8 per hour.
