I-39 south ramp at HH reopened after semi rollover

By Brandi Makuski

Wisconsin State Patrol has reopened the I-39 southbound ramp at County Hwy. HH following a single-vehicle rollover.

A 32-year-old woman received minor injuries after the semi-truck she was driving rolled off the roadway on April 16. Law enforcement and paramedics responded to the scene at 8:25 a.m.

Sgt. Timothy Westphal from the WSP said the cause of the crash is still under investigation. While there was no lane blockage, the ramp will be closed for about four hours while Adams Towing removed the truck.

Plover Fire Chief Mark Deaver said his crews had to extricate the motorist from the vehicle, which landed on the passenger side.

“We opened the door and lowered a ladder down into the cab and she climbed up the ladder, then we had a ladder on the outside of the cab,” Deaver said. “She was able to get out by herself and was transported [by ambulance] to get checked out.”
