Hubert B. Kaminski, 90

Hubert B. Kaminski age 90, of Stevens Point, passed away Thursday morning June 17, 2021, at Point Manor, while under the care of Heartland Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Hubert will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9-10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the St. Faustina room at the church, prior to Mass.

Hubert was born October 12, 1930, in Rosholt, the son of John and Mary (Ksioszk) Kaminski. After graduation from Rosholt High School, he entered the United States Army on June 11, 1951, in Milwaukee. He was honorably discharged on May 22, 1953, from Fort Custer Michigan, and returned to Stevens Point. Hubert married Frances Kruzitski on May 15, 1954, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fancher.

The couple settled in Stevens Point and raised their family. Hubert enjoyed a 40-year career as a self-employed TV Technician. He retired on December 31, 1996. He enjoyed bird watching, going to the casino, gardening, and was an avid Packer fan. He loved growing tomatoes and cucumbers and enjoyed sharing his homegrown delights with family and friends. Hubert was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, St Peter Holy Name, Moose Lodge, and American Legion Post #6.

He is survived by his wife Frances, their children Jeanette (Bob) Houck, Char Woyak, and Tony Kaminski. He is further survived by his grandchildren Kelly (Eric) Knudsen, Amber Houck (Stewart), Justin (Trina) Yach, and Jaren (Bobbi) Yach, and five great-grandchildren, Casey Prescott, Jonah and Josie Yach, and Brilee and Jaret Yach. He is also survived by one sister, Theresa Hullin, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
